Staff was friendly and offered room choices. We enjoyed the morning breakfast buffet, had a BOGO coupon. We planned ahead and ate before arrival and packed some cold Sandwiches.
In the past dining was a problem here. Enjoyed the live band and saw lots of people eating at the bar. We have tried that in the past but were disappointed so we planned ahead. Maybe dining choices have improved. We will be back. We were here for the Bob and Tom morning and evening shows. The event venue was great with good lighting and sound.
The hotel room did not have a refer or microwave which was disappointing. The room was clean and comfortable. Would have liked USB ports on the bedside tables.
The room, bathroom, and linens were very clean and check-in was simple. Comfortable bed. Excellent value.
The little things I noticed: A detached hairdryer. I hate the ones that are attached to the wall. I could use this one in any outlet. Real hangers instead of hangers with posts. So much easier for hanging up clothes.
Nice toiletries, including a lovely soap called "sweet grass". But the mint smell is invigorating and it suds up beautifully. I bought some in the handy shop on the first floor. The exhaust fan did not work in the bathroom and only one light in the bathroom worked so it was very hard to use the mirror for getting ready in the morning. King size bed only had 3 pillows on it for two people.
Due to these issues, I will not be returning to their resort to stay overnight nor will I recommend them to my family or friends. Such a scary, and frustrating experience.
Checked in, went to our room, opened the door, and there were people in our assigned room. We could have walked into a really bad situation. Went back down and we were given a new room. Walk in, we reserved a room with a king bed, the bed was just slightly larger than a double bed.
She said we only have two types of rooms a king, or 2 doubles. We love Northstar. Staff are great!
Very clean. My mom who is 80 can get around really easy. Has a excellent layout.
My favorite place to go for a fun trip. We like the live music on Tuesday nights. The rooms are quiet and clean. The gaming experience was fine. I enjoyed the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich. We will be back again soon. Be prepared to search for a machine that works which is very frustrating.
